Attorney General Opinion Requested on Whether Local School District Board Member and County Park Commissioner Positions Are Compatible

On March 15, 2022, the Geauga County Prosecuting Attorney submitted a request for a formal Ohio Attorney General opinion as to whether a local school board member who was appointed to the county park board may hold both positions when the school district is located in the same county the park board serves.

The McGown & Markling Team will provide an update once an opinion is issued. In the meantime, to read this request, click here.
