Up to 5,000 Additional Ohioans Eligible for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance

On November 15, 2021, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services announced that up to 5,000 additional Ohioans may be eligible for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.

The Department of Labor announced additional COVID-19 related reasons for eligibility that will apply retroactively to those who may not have been eligible prior to February 2021. Those who were previously ineligible should check the modified application process to see if they now qualify based on the additional reasons now available.

Some individuals impacted by this change will be notified by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, but individuals can log in to their PUA accounts to check their inbox for the worksheet that must be completed within five (5) business day of receipt.
