Ohio Governor Signs “The Testing Your Faith Act”

On January 2, 2023, Governor Michael DeWine signed Am.Sub. H.B. No. 353 into law, which was sponsored by Reps. Gary Click (R-Vickery) and Jessica Miranda (D-Forest Park).

H.B. No. 353 enacts “The Testing Your Faith Act” to require each state institution of higher education to adopt a policy providing students with religious accommodations.

This bill takes effect in 90 days – i.e., on April 2, 2023.
