On January 27, 2022, House Bill 176 (“Bill”) is scheduled to take effect and will enlarge the scope of practice for athletic trainers in Ohio.
The bill authorizes athletic trainers to enter into collaboration agreements with physicians or podiatrists which will enable athletic trainers in Ohio to provide and perform additional services and activities. In addition, the bill allows athletic trainer referrals from additional practitioners.
