Doe v. Trumbull Career & Tech. Ctr., Bd. of Edn.

In the case of Doe v. Trumbull Career & Tech. Ctr., Bd. of Edn., a former school employee alleged that the school board violated public policy when the school board elected not to rehire the school employee based upon a prior conviction which had been expunged. McGown & Markling represented the school board in this case, and successfully obtained judgment on the pleadings for the school board as state law required school boards to inspect criminal records and backgrounds of prospective school employees, including those records that are sealed.
