McGown & Markling encourages all school board members and educational leaders to attend the 2018 Ohio School Boards Association Capital Conference and Trade Show, which is being held from November 11-13, 2018, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
Our very own Matthew John Markling is a former school board president and current superintendent who has been bestowed the lifetime distinction of Master Board Member by the Ohio School Boards Association and understands the importance of continuing education for all school leaders.

Mr. Markling served as an elected member of the Lakewood City School District Board of Education before he decided to not run for reelection in order to spend more time with his wife and three sons. During his service as a school board member, OSBA bestowed Mr. Markling with the lifetime distinction of Master Board Member in addition to an Outstanding Board Member Award and multiple Awards of Achievement.
Mr. Markling is currently both the Superintendent for the Middle Bass Local School District and the Superintendent for the North Bass Local School District giving him a powerful perspective on the daily issues faced by school districts that has proved invaluable to educational leaders throughout the State of Ohio.
