The Ohio Department of Education (“ODE”) has updated its 2021-22 school year guidance regarding online and blended learning for school districts throughout the state.
The updated guidance allows for students that are in quarantine because of exposure to COVID-19 to temporarily switch to online school access is the student’s district offers this option. Likewise, the guidance allows for classrooms, buildings, or districts to temporarily switch to online learning if the district has submitted a blended learning declaration to the Ohio Department of Education.
The new guidance also sets forth additional considerations for school districts to assess regarding all issues and questions surrounding online learning models.
