School Districts May Not Mandate Unapproved Vaccine

House Bill 244 will go into effect on October 13, 2021 and will prohibit school districts from requiring a vaccine not fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration and discriminating against individuals who are not vaccinated.

This discrimination could include prohibiting the participation of unvaccinated individuals in activities or requiring these same individuals to partake in additional precautionary measures (i.e., wearing a mask).

Additional guidance is set to be released to further outline how this bill will be enforced.
